It has been almost 60 years, since I took to the love of Sew Sweet. It has been in my life a long time At first, we were so humble if you wanted something new, you made it. This was the time of the Grant Stores, where you could purchase material 5 yards for a $1.00. You could make a flare skirt and have some left over. Of course, you had an 18" waist and it did not take much to go around you. I can remember using cups and saucers to anchor the patterns on the fabric. Boy, have we "come a long way."
